Macrobiotic Consultations
What is a macrobiotic consultation? A consultation can be in person or over the phone. If the consultation is done over the phone, a digital photo and a personal questionnaire about your diet and lifestyle is required to be filled out and reviewed by the counselor and assistant. If the consultation is done in person, the personal questionnaire can be brought to the meeting. The meeting will consist of reviewing your past and current health condition; a detailed dietary program of both home remedies and specific foods to be consumed; and a suggested exercise and stress-reduction program. The meeting is interactive, meaning you can ask questions and get more information if needed. A certified macrobiotic counselor along with the support of an assistant/scribe will be leading the consultation.
How is the follow up handled? Questions can be addressed by phone or email after the consultation. There is no extra fee for the follow up sessions.
What materials will I be given? You will be given a detailed personalized dietary plan along with a complete list of suggested foods to eat and those to avoid. You will also receive some recipes to follow. The counselor or his assistant will suggest certain cookbooks and educational literature on macrobiotics.
Will I find support people in the area I live in? The counselor and assistant will offer names of cooks, counselors and restaurants in your local area. If there is no one nearby, there are macrobiotic cooks that will travel and cook in your home.
What is the fee for the consultation? The fee for a Standard Wellness Consultation is $200. The fee for a Specialized Consultation is $300. Specialized consultations are designed for people challenged by a health condition. After you request a consultation, you will then be contacted by phone or email (whichever you prefer) to set up a date and time for the initial intake session and the consultation. Payment for the consultation can be made through Paypals on this website or by check. If the counselor and assistant have to travel to meet the person requesting the consultation, there may be additional travel expenses.
